Promasys becomes the clinical trial platform for J-CLIPNET

J-CLIPNET, a network of 6 academic hospitals in Japan, has chosen Promasys as their common platform for the management of their clinical trials and data management.

J-CLIPNET (Japan Clinical Pharmacology Network for Global Trials) was officially launched on November 16, 2007 at the initiative of some of the leading clinical pharmacologists in Japan, with the support of the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare.

J-CLIPNET aims to provide an efficient, high quality scientific network for conducting multicenter, multinational early phase clinical trials in the Asian region. The focus will be on Phase I and proof of concept trials, with the explicit mission to increase the available evidence for drug treatment in the Asian region. In addition, J-CLIPNET aims to train high level staff for its global, early phase clinical trials in Japan: Investigators, Project Manages and Clinical Research Coordinators.

Image J-CLIPNET is chaired by Prof. Kyoichi Ohashi of Oita University, and consists of the following academic hospitals, which all have their own clinical trial centers: Oita University Hospital, Ehime University Hospital, Hamamatsu Medical University, Showa University Hospital, St. Mariana University Hospital, and Kitasato University East Hospital.

J-CLIPNET is further setting up international collaboration with clinical trial centers in Korea, China, and the Netherlands. All these centers are existing customers of Promasys. Through this unique collaboration with J-CLIPNET and the other centers in Korea and China, Promasys now has a very strong presence in the Far East, with excellent prospects for further growth and expansion.
